The Stimulator is the workhorse kind of fly that has such great versatility. A great attractor that imitates adult stone flies, grass hoppers and is fantastic for those who like to fish the hopper dropper to cover more of the water column.  Join Sam has he guides you through the process of tying one of his most productive patterns.  

  • All tying materials will be provided for students to use but bring your favorite vise and tools.   

  • You will learn about proportions so that the finished fly looks and acts appropriately on the water.

  • We will explore a variety of the materials that we stock in our fly shop, so that you become familiar with how they are used.

  • The class will include tips and tricks that will make the fly-tying process more enjoyable.

  • You will leave the class equipped with the skills needed to expand the craft.
